As Fall makes way for Winter, it’s time to add winter-appropriate choices to your wardrobe. While trends come and go, it’s a known fact that they also make their way back around. Well, I’m here with some of the latest winter must-haves to help not only keep you fashionable, but hopefully warm.

Color Blocking Is So Trending

This winter is not just about neutrals, it’s also about going bold. Bold, bright, and loud is the theme. Try adding warm shades like red and pink, with cool tones such as blue and green to bring in complexity and a little extra oomph. You can also throw in a bold bag, hat, and shoes to give your neutral look a pop of color.

Throw In Some Chunky Knitwear

Chunky Knit-wear can be so super cozy. For a statement look, try throwing on a sweater with a pair of your favorite jeans or a skirt, and you be the one to set the style standard. If you’re not a turtleneck person, there are so many different necklines to choose from. I’ve always been a fan of a collared shirt or blouse peeking out of the neckline.

Cardigans

Don’t forget about the cardigan. I know, it’s not for everyone, but it all depends on how you style them. Cardigans are always a good look for work or going out to brunch with friends and family. Listen, adding a few gold pieces of jewelry like a belt, necklace or a pin will make you look so put together. Cardigans can be modernized by simply adding jeans and either heels or dress shoes. Give it a try. Tell me what you think.

Bomber Jackets

Do you know what’s here to stay from the last year’s look, the bomber jacket! The bomber jacket may not be loved by everyone, but it has been a comfortable and stylish choice for fall. Now how can we roll that into the Winter? Since gender is a non-issue with this jacket, it’s a good fit for everyone. Want to warm it up some, try styling it with a big chunky sweater, (Keep in mind, you might need to go up a size or two for layering room). Don’t forget to toss on a pair of jeans and chunky shoes. You know what, this look might just become one of your most comfortable everyday styles!

Leather is a Staple

Most people probably own some type of leather statement piece in their collection, it’s time to show it off. Note, if faux leather is your preference, you are still able to get the same look with the same impact.

Pull out that leather jacket, skirt, shoes, purse or even a hat to bring the trend into the winter season wardrobe. Okay, you have those leather pants you paid good money for and have been wanting to wear, well go for it! Fashion is your prerogative and your body. But if I can make a suggestion, maybe don’t go leather from head to toe. Try mixing textures like beautiful silk, cotton, and knits with your leather for a classic look.

Make sure your leather is waterproof if it’s snowing or snow on the ground. And stay away from salt.

Corsets for a Cinched Waist

Well, the cold weather can be synonymous with bulky and comfortable clothes. If you are someone who enjoys a snatched look, give these items a try. High waist pants, belted winter coat, and add the corset top. Remember, you can still showoff those curves once the coat is off.

This trend has been everywhere on Instagram, and anyone can pull it off! Green is the ultimate shade of the year and with the various tones of the same palette, you can and mix and match all the tones. Try it out with a blazer, Dress, sweater, t-shirt, even patchwork trousers. Make sure you chose a green that works with your skin and hair tone.

Denim from Head to Toe

It’s time to bring Y2K aesthetics back with a head-to-toe denim look! It has been a fashion faux pas at times, but it looks amazing if done right. The trick is to make sure it’s figure flattering and that the shade works with your skin tone.
